NATIONAL OILWELL VARCO AND GRANT PRIDECO ANNOUNCE
EARLY TERMINATION GRANTED
HOUSTON, TX, March 7, 2008 — National Oilwell Varco, Inc. and Grant Prideco, Inc. today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice granted early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 related to NOV’s pending acquisition of Grant Prideco, Inc.
National Oilwell Varco is a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and sale of equipment and components used in oil and gas drilling and production operations, the provision of oilfield services, and supply chain integration services to the upstream oil and gas industry.
